I have since rehung my pipes where they exit the engine mount.  They were too close to the frame for my comfort following the instructions that came with the pipes.

The new hanging method works much better and has held up for the last year.  Wow, has it already been a year???

As you can see from the view below, I ended up with plenty of clearance on both top and bottom.
